Course Significance

Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India (ICWAI) has changed its name into The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI). Also ICWA course has changed into CMA course. There is no difference between ICWAI and CMA. They are two different words used to describe one single thing. ICWAI stands for Institute of Cost and Work Accountant of India whereas CMA stands for Cost management accounting. Apart from the literal meaning there is no difference at all.

A Cost Accountant is a person who offers to perform or perform services involving the costing or pricing of goods and services or the preparation, verification or certification of cost accounting and related statements. The Cost Management Accountant (CMA) designation is a highly respected credential awarded by the Institute of Management Accountants for accountants and financial professionals working in business. A Cost & Management Accountant (CMA) is defined and is also considered as expert among others in the said act. A Cost & Management Accountant can act as an Internal Auditor of a company and can be a Cost Auditor of a company. Cost Audit standards are recognized. A CMA can be an Investment advisor under SEBI regulation. A CMA is an auditor under VAT act of various states and central excise. A CMA can be an authorized representative under various statutes. A CMA is recommended by the standing committee on the DTC to be included in the Income tax act to be a tax auditor (Pending legislation).

•  5.30p.m to 8.00p.m for college students

• Regular classes for full time CMA pursuing students

• Weekend classes also available
